Warranty

Seller and scope

UAB „Edvado“, company code 304541209, VAT LT100011467716, A. Vivulskio g. 7, Vilnius, Lithuania. EDVADO sells equipment to businesses (B2B) and consumers (B2C). A consumer is a natural person purchasing for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession; not every individual purchaser is a consumer. Professional equipment, a company field in a form or an invoice label does not by itself remove consumer status. B2B conditions apply only to business purchases and cannot restrict mandatory consumer rights.

B2C: legal guarantee of conformity

For consumer purchases of equipment from EDVADO, EDVADO as seller is responsible for conformity under Lithuanian/EU law. Consumers have a minimum 2-year legal guarantee from delivery for non-conformity existing at delivery and becoming apparent during the applicable period. This is not a voluntary manufacturer warranty or a promise to cover all wear, misuse or accidental damage. A defect appearing in the first year is presumed to have existed at delivery unless the seller proves otherwise or that presumption is incompatible with the goods or defect. Longer periods or stronger mandatory rights remain unaffected. For goods with digital elements, applicable conformity and necessary update obligations also remain.

B2C: remedies and the 2026 repair extension

The consumer may request repair or replacement free of charge, unless the chosen remedy is impossible or disproportionate under law. The remedy must be provided within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, including necessary transport, labour and materials. A proportionate price reduction or termination/refund is available under statutory conditions, including failed or refused repair/replacement, recurring or sufficiently serious non-conformity; termination is not available for merely minor non-conformity, whose minor nature the seller must prove. Under the Lithuanian rules applicable to goods purchased from 31 July 2026, choosing repair rather than replacement under the legal guarantee extends the seller’s liability period once by 12 months for the whole product. EDVADO must inform the consumer about the choice and extension. This is a legal right, not a newly offered commercial warranty. Any separate manufacturer duty to repair outside the legal guarantee depends on the product categories and conditions covered by law.

Manufacturer’s voluntary commercial warranty

A manufacturer may provide an additional commercial warranty for a specific product. The applicable warranty statement and binding advertising identify the guarantor, duration, territory, coverage, exclusions and procedure. EDVADO must supply applicable warranty information before purchase and the statement on a durable medium as required by law. A shorter or expired commercial warranty does not shorten the seller’s legal guarantee. Consumer claims against EDVADO cannot be made dependent on first contacting the manufacturer or registering a voluntary warranty. Consult the warranty statement applicable to your model before purchase.

B2B: contractual warranty and claims

For B2B purchases, supply, payment, delivery, voluntary warranty, acceptance and agreed returns are governed by the applicable law and terms validly agreed in the contract, quotation or invoice. An invoice cannot unilaterally introduce unagreed restrictions. The consumer 14-day no-reason withdrawal right does not automatically apply to B2B; this does not exclude business buyers’ rights for defects or other mandatory law. B2B provisions must never be applied to restrict B2C rights. Applicable mandatory Lithuanian/EU rules, including stronger protection under applicable consumer law, prevail; these website terms do not restrict that protection.

Claims, contact and dispute resolution

Send a written claim to info@edvado.com; for technical faults you may also use support@edvado.com or the technical support form. Postal correspondence: UAB „Edvado“, A. Vivulskio g. 7, Vilnius, Lithuania. Identify the purchase (receipt, invoice or other proof), model, problem and requested remedy, with proportionate supporting evidence. A serial number, original packaging or use of a particular form is not an automatic condition of statutory rights. Keep a copy of your claim. A form receipt confirms that the request was saved; it is not a decision on your claim. Under Lithuanian consumer law, consumer claims must be examined free of charge and receive a detailed, reasoned written response supported by documents within 14 days of receipt. This response deadline is not a promised repair completion date or the withdrawal deadline. If rejected, partly satisfied or unanswered in that period, the consumer can apply to VVTAT (State Consumer Rights Protection Authority), VVTAT, including via VTIS, without losing access to a court. An EDVADO purchase claim is against EDVADO as seller, not exclusively the manufacturer. Other sellers remain responsible for their own sales. Confirm the physical return destination before dispatch; this does not require prior authorisation to exercise statutory rights. For the Lithuanian out-of-court consumer dispute route, VVTAT specifies contacting the seller within 3 months of learning or being expected to learn of the rights violation, and applying to the dispute body within 1 year of contacting the seller. These procedural limits are distinct from the legal guarantee and do not replace other statutory rights or limitation rules.
