Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small records stored by a browser. This site uses first-party localStorage to remember your privacy choice, selected theme and selected comparison devices. These records are separate from HTTP cookies and do not contain contact details. The site does not set its own HTTP cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers. Optional Google Maps can use third-party cookies and similar technologies after consent.

Records stored by this site

edvado-privacy-v1 — first-party localStorage, containing version, Maps choice and timestamps. It remembers acceptance or refusal for 180 days, after which the site asks again. edvado-theme — first-party localStorage containing the Light/Dark/System option you select; retained until changed or cleared, without automatic expiry. edvado-comparison-v1 — first-party localStorage containing IDs of devices you select for comparison; retained until comparison is cleared or the record is removed, without automatic expiry. An empty selection does not create a new record. Theme and comparison persistence serve the function you expressly request; they are not needed merely to read the site and are not used for analytics or advertising.

Optional Google Maps

Maps remains blocked until consent; the address is available without contacting Google. Accept enables Maps, Reject keeps it blocked, and Configure offers the Maps category, switched off by default. Once enabled, Google receives IP address, browser/connection information and map interactions and may use its own cookies or storage. Google controls the names, purposes and lifetimes of its records, which can vary by browser and Google account; consult Google’s privacy and cookie information in this section. Refusing the map does not prevent enquiries, support, documents or browsing the catalog.

Change or withdraw your choice

Use Privacy settings in any footer to accept, reject or save a custom choice. Withdrawal removes map frames and prevents further site-initiated map loads; it does not undo previous transmissions or delete Google-domain cookies. Manage those through browser controls or Google’s tools. Clearing site data removes the privacy choice, theme and comparison; the site asks again with Maps blocked. If storage is unavailable, a choice lasts only on the current page. Choices are not shared between test.edvado.com and edvado.com or devices. Closing settings does not grant consent. Expired or invalid records do not enable Maps.
