EDVADO HARDWARE

DOT i4G

2G / 3G / 4G tracker with CAN, RS485 / RS232 and 1-Wire.

Description

DOT i4G is the EDVADO catalog name for DOT Integral 4G. The supplied Integral 4G User Manual 1.0 is the source for this page; model equivalence was confirmed by EDVADO. The tracker combines vehicle positioning, peripheral data collection and simultaneous transmission to two servers.

Specification information

Specifications are based on the available manufacturer manuals. Features not described in those documents are not confirmed.

Not specified: absent from sources. Not confirmed: catalog claim without a technical document. Not supported: explicitly excluded by the manufacturer.

Functions and installation

The built-in CAN reader requires a program matching the vehicle. RS485 and RS232 cannot operate simultaneously; CAN works independently. 1-Wire supports temperature sensors and Dallas identification; using its shared contact as a digital input disables those 1-Wire functions. Vehicle compatibility must be checked for the actual device and CAN program.

Input modes include digital, pulse and frequency monitoring; output modes include equipment control and safe immobilization. Driving-behaviour monitoring uses the accelerometer. Power-saving modes can wake on motion or an input change. Configuration is available through DOT Configurator over USB and SMS/TCP commands.

Connect permanent positive power last through a 2 A fuse close to the vehicle connection. Keep the logo side clear of metal and preferably facing upwards. Dimensions exclude antennas and mounting hardware. Follow the official manual and have connector inconsistencies clarified before wiring.

Source limitations

The manual identifies 1-Wire as connector pin 7 in the main table but pin 2 in the Dallas section. Generic IN3/U0–U3 names also differ from the main connector table. No unambiguous wiring diagram or extra outputs are inferred. Battery values are printed as 200–1500 mA, not mAh; capacity requires manufacturer confirmation.

The second-server configuration heading and command examples disagree; the Wialon table repeats a CAN fuel field for different units. These ambiguities do not change our protocol decoder or produce guessed commands. The manual warranty conditions do not automatically replace the website terms of sale.
